Welcome
Activities of Phoenix Solar in Greece
Phoenix Solar EPE was established in Greece in June 2008, as a subsidiary of the German Phoenix Solar AG. Phoenix Solar is active in 2 main areas:
1. Engineering, Procurement of electromechanical equipment and Construction of large PV systems connected to the grid.
2. Wholesaler of PV modules and inverters of various manufacturers and the accompanying equipment of a PV installation.
The company specialises exclusivelyin PV technology and its main priority and concern is to apply optimal solutions and cutting edge technology in the projects that implements, in order to minimise the cost and maximise the real lifetime of a PV system. The experience of Phoenix Solar in the design and installation of large PV plants is documented by the total installed capacity of approximately 140MW worldwide by the middle of year 2009.
An integral part of the philosophy of Phoenix Solar is to ensure a high level of customer service after the installation of a PV power plant, i.e. systematic Operation & Maintenance and continuous monitoring of the performance of a system. An advanced monitoring and maintenance service has been developed, providing diagnostic check of each PV station that is in operation. Control is done centrally in Germany, with a detailed inventory of all individual parameters in order to ensure the smooth operation of a PV station. In case that a malfunction is recorded, a mechanism for immediate repair from qualified personnel is activated, ensuring that maximum availability of a PV system is achieved on an annual basis.
On 10 February 2009, Phoenix Solar EPE was certified to ISO 9001:2008 by the German certification organisation TÜV Rheinland. The scope is:
“Design, engineering, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic stations, connected to the grid and stand alone. Supply, sale and procurement of components and systems related to photovoltaic technology”.
Apart from Greece, Phoenix Solar AG have established subsidiaries in Spain, Italy, France, Singapore and Australia. At the moment, the Phoenix Solar Group employs around 250 persons.
